Pre-Operative Evaluations

We understand the importance of proper evaluations and discussion prior to scheduling, which is why each patient’s history is evaluated thoroughly. We obtain all necessary health history information, including consultations and clearance requests from their healthcare providers. We review all pre-op instructions with patients and address any concerns.

Our team can seamlessly transform your dental operatory to safely administer anesthesia with state of the art monitors, anesthesia machine, specialized airway equipment, and emergency supplies. All safety precautions and standards are met as expected by the State.

What to Expect?

Before

Once a date is scheduled with your office to treat patients under anesthesia, we will begin to coordinate with your team. Our team will contact the patient and obtain all pertinent medical history, and any necessary consultations. Pre-operative instructions are given, including NPO, transportation, and post-op care.

During

Our anesthesiologist will arrive the morning of with all necessary equipment to set up. A preoperative assessment is completed to confirm medical history, physical examination, NPO status, and review the anesthesia plan. Once the patient is ready for treatment, the anesthesiologist will begin to administer anesthesia medications, ensuring the dentist can begin shortly thereafter. During treatment, the anesthesiologist continuously monitoring the patient utilizing: pulse oximetry, blood pressure, electrocardiography, temperature, capnography, and gas analysis.

After

Upon treatment completion, the patient will be recovered until discharge criteria is met. A post-operative wellness check is completed by the staff later in the day.
